Organic Cotton Clothing
By using recycled organic cotton , with a single garment, we save 94% water consumption compared to a conventional cotton garment. 2,000 liters of water are consumed to make a t-shirt, 3,000 or 4,000 for a sweatshirt normally.
With a Clotsy t-shirt for example, we managed to save 1880 liters of water using recycled cotton. Our fabric suppliers are Global Recycled Standard certified.

FAQs Organic Cotton Clothing
What does clothing made with organic cotton mean?
Organic cotton clothing is made from cotton grown without the use of pesticides, chemical fertilizers, or genetically modified seeds. This type of cotton is grown in a more environmentally friendly way, protecting soil, water, and biodiversity.
Why is organic cotton clothing better?
Choosing organic cotton clothing has many advantages:
- Respect for the environment: Grown without chemicals, reducing environmental impact.
- Greater softness and comfort: Organic cotton is softer to the touch and less likely to cause skin irritation.
- Durability: It is more durable than conventional cotton, which means garments last longer.
- Health benefits: Since it is not treated with pesticides, it is safer for your skin and for farm workers.
How to know if a garment is made of organic cotton?
To ensure a garment is made of organic cotton, look for certifications such as:
- GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard): This is the most recognized certification for organic clothing.
- OEKO-TEX: Guarantees that no harmful chemicals have been used.
- Fair Trade: Certifies that working conditions in production are fair.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes! Organic cotton clothing is ideal for people with sensitive skin because it doesn't contain chemicals or pesticides. This reduces the chances of irritation or allergies, making it a softer and more skin-friendly option.
How to take care of it so that it lasts longer?
To keep your organic cotton clothing in excellent condition for a long time, follow these tips:
- Wash in cold water: Cold water protects cotton fibers and saves energy.
- Avoid using a dryer: Air dry to prevent fiber wear.
- Use mild detergents: Choose eco-friendly products to maintain the properties of organic cotton.
- Iron at low temperature: If necessary, use a low temperature to avoid damaging the fabric.
Is it suitable for all seasons?
Yes, organic cotton clothing is ideal for any season. In winter, organic cotton offers good breathability, while in summer it's cool and comfortable. Its versatility makes it an excellent choice year-round.
